I have a question: you mention an ancient fortress in Carvoeiro. Where exactly is it? Is it on Monte Carvoeiro? I have been there twice now and walked around in town a lot but didn’t hear of this before. I would like to visit it the next time I go there. Sounds very interesting. Is there much left of it and are there guided tours of it by any chance? Or is it very small? The main thing is: how does one find it. Which street does one have to walk up from the central square to get to it? many thanks in advance for your advice.
